    Memoirs of a Mustang: Grade 14 - Page 8 Empty I win.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Mon 03 Feb 2014, 10:46 pm

    From yesterday.

    Entry 115: Fix that Window
Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
Lunch was PIZZA POCKETS, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
The Landlord came in to fix my window. It was a bit broken, causing heat to seep out. Didn't ever bug me too much, but maybe I'll notice a difference now.
    Dinner was pasta night.

    Entry 116: The Upcoming Events
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-Calculus, more on double integration.
    9:30-Fluids.
11:20-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.
    11:30-Organic2, more on spectroscopy.

1:30-Odds. There are lots of different ways that data can be distributed.
Finished up a fluids assignment during the afternoon.
Dinner was pasta night. Later tonight I went to the store to buy milk, orange juice and Ritz.

So hey, I have a midterm this week. And two more next week.

    Entry 117: Unexpectedly Funny
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
8:30-Thermodynamics tutorial. This is, no question, the most challenging course material out of all my classes. It is insane. Everyone agrees, to the point where the professor admits it. There is so much calculus. Nothing is ever straightforward. It's a great course, it's just so hard.
    10:30-CPUMath.
11:20-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.

    11:30-Organic2, more on spectroscopy.
    12:30-Fluids tutorial.
2:30-Organic2 lab#1 part 2. I'm talking with a lab mate, and I joke about there being spiders in the one corner. Some time later, someone from another group mentions there's a cobweb in one of their beakers. I had no idea about this.

    5:00-Dinner was pasta night.
6:00-CWC. The executives were awesome enough to get a professional improv group from a neighbouring college to teach us about writing comedy. I was the only one, aside from our president, who showed up. We have no idea why. We always have at least a core group of 10 or so members who show up to meetings. We waited for 45 minutes, and the only other person who came in was a non-member waiting for a friend. The hell.

    On the plus side, Timbits.

Entry 118: The Blizzardest Blizzard to ever Blizzard
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-Calculus.
    9:30-CPUMath quiz.
11:00-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.

11:30-Organic2. The dean was in the room, presumably to assess the professor's performance. We have a midterm tomorrow night.
    12:30-Thermodynamics2.
1:30-Fluids tutorial. More midterm practice. This one's next week.
    5:00-Dinner was pasta night.

Yeah, it's snowing like crazy here, too.

    Entry 119: Organic2 Midterm 1
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-CPUMath.
    10:30-Thermodynamics2.
11:30-Odds tutorial has been moved, and to a building I've never been to before, North Campus. It's real nice.
1:30-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.

6:30-Organic2 midterm. First off, it went great. Second, this professor is a real something. This guy personally makes sure that everyone follows minor lab regulations that most professors would not even pay attention to. And tonight was just weird. First off, he only brought in people to the exam room in groups of 15. And with each group, he pointed to where each individual student was to sit. He wore a suit for no discernable reason other than that this was a midterm (he never wears one to class). He'd pace around the room to catch cheaters.

    It's kind of annoying.

Dinner was pizza at a parlour on Richmond, with Pepsi and caesar salad.

    Entry 120: Eclipsed
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-Calculus
    9:30-Fluids. Midterm on Monday.
10:30-Calculus tutorial. Because it's a new semester, we have new TA's. Turns out they have little experience with calculus and are, in fact, not engineering students.
    Memoirs of a Mustang: Grade 14 - Page 8 Nazmul11

1:30-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
3:45-Dinner was leftover pizza, milk and a carrot.
5:00-Eclipse Phase Campaign. We started the actual story, playing our first mission. It went for five hours, and it was total fun. My character's already gone through a life-changing near-death experience, and the main plot looks to be kicking in. If you want a more detailed telling, just go to this thread.

    Memoirs of a Mustang: Grade 14 - Page 8 Empty 11^2=121.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Sun 09 Feb 2014, 11:45 pm

    From yesterday.

    Entry 121: Welcome to Work
Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
My sister came over to bring back the plate on which I put her Christmas cake. She stayed a bit to chat.

4:45-Started my journey towards the Canadian Property Stars Job Information Session, situated on 70 Pacific Court. I had dinner at a nearby Subway.
5:15-80% of this walk is on Cheapside Street, so I figured I could just take a bus for most of this trip. And indeed, a bus came by. It wasn't long before it unexpectedly turned and I ended up off course. You know what'd be nice? You know how there's a computerized voice that tells you what stop's next? How about they make the voice tell you when the bus is turning?

5:30-No other busses came by on my walk along Cheapside.
6:00-I just needed to walk 1.4km on Clarke Rd and I'd practically be there. Guess what? GUESS WHAT? THERE'S NO SIDEWALKS. THERE'S NO FUCKING SIDEWALKS ON THIS ROAD. WHAT THE FUCK? For a few blocks, at least. I had to walk on the massive snow banks. It sucked.
7:00-Canadian Property Stars! Essentially, they're an aeration/driveway-repair service. They hire us as amateur contractors, supply us with equipment, and sorta let us do their own thing. We go door-to-door, offering our services. What and how many days we work is entirely up to us. Our pay is commission-based; we get more money by getting more done. It was only an hour-long presentation.

8:00-But then they offered to train us on a number of days, including right now. Nnnnnhhhh, yeah, okay. Might as well. It was alright. Learned how to maneuver the machine, brushed up on WHMIS.
    10:00-Hooray for Tim Hortons.
12:00-And as if this was the end of the night, Haley had her cousin and her cousin's boyfriend over. I joined them on their taboozing. We got drunk, and then tobogganed down a nearby hill. It was swell.

    Best day ever? Could be.

Memoirs of a Mustang: Grade 14 - Page 8 Empty Fluids is easy.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Tue 11 Feb 2014, 12:43 pm

    From yesterday.

    Entry 123: Fluids Midterm 1
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
8:30-Calculus. We are now on to triple integrals.
    9:30-Fluids.
11:20-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
    11:30-Organic2, mass spectrometry.

    12:30-Thermodynamics2.
    1:30-Odds, the Normal Distribution.
2:30-Fluids lab #3, centrifugal pump. It's virtyally the same as the first experiment, just with water instead of air. Just as tedious, too.
Dinner was a cheeseburger, french fries and milk. Those french fries came out really good.
6:00-Fluids midterm. Pretty easy, relatively speaking. This whole course is, really.

    From yesterday.

    Entry 124: Who Likes Poetry?
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-Thermodynamics2 tutorial.
    10:30-CPUMath.
11:20-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
    11:30-Organic2, nuclear...magnetism...stuff.
12:30-Fluids tutorial. Pretty empty room; we did just have a midterm, after all.

2:30-Organic lab#2, synthesizing an ester. There was one part of the lab where, no joke, we had to just WAIT for a whole hour. I am tired of this bullshit.
6:00-CWC. We brought in a local poet to read some of his stuff. I'm no fan of poetry, I just stuck around because it's CWC. At least there were cookies.

Dinner was a cheeseburger, french fries and milk. Those french fries came out really good.

7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-CPUMath.
    10:30-Thermodynamics2. More on residual properties.
11:30-Odds test #2. Went just as well as the last one.

Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
Dinner was a cheeseburger, french fries, a carrot and milk.

9:30-Went to fencing, just for a little bit. I don't like it, but it's becoming clear that my schedule just doesn't work well for fencing. I just can't fit it in. I mean, it's been, what, a month since I last stopped by?

    Entry 127: Happy Valentine's Day
7:30-Breakfast was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and orange juice.
    8:30-Calculus.
    9:30-Fluids.
10:30-Calculus tutorial. Well, not really. Again, these guys admit to not being big calculus students. I really want to ask why the school would ever give them to us in the first place.

11:30-Lunch was a peanut butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and milk.
    1:30-Odds.
For the afternoon, I finished up on a Thermodynamics2 assignment.

Marsha came over to have dinner with me and Haley. The dish was a sort of pasta wrap, filled with powdery cheese and drenched in a cheesy sauce. There was a side of apple salad, and a dessert of brownie ice cream and lava cake.

We did some grocery shopping, a few errands, then went to Palisad for bowling and lunch. Lunch was a chicken finger dinner with chocolate milk.
We went to Caley's house to watch some Olympics. We went to my house for dinner, HOMEMADE PIZZA and salad. We watched Community together.
And now I'm in St. Marys for part of Reading Week.

Finished up my voluntary Heart and Stroke canvassing today. One guy even gave me $20. Today was a really, really cold day to do this. Like, seriously Cephalo what the hell.

Guess who I saw when I was walking home! ASHLEY! Holy-Name-of-Mary Ashley! She just saw me when she walked by. We talked a little bit. She's in nursing. This is so cool. Are there other Mary Saints here at Western? Where are they?!

Dinner was pasta night with chocolate milk.

So I'm walking to a EGA get-together on campus, when I see LAURA AND MALLORY! FROM HIGH SCHOOL! They're on campus for a midterm. Just...this is just fantastic.

The EGA itself was great. Just a solid day of Melee and Project M. Nothing big and spectacular, but it went good, no long boring breaks inbetween good times. Just good times.
    Dinner was Caesar's Pizza.

Fortunately, didn't have to go out much today. Only had to buy cheddar cheese and apples. 'Cause, y'know, constants.

    From Monday

Entry 138: The End of the Fluids Labs
7:30-Breakfast was KNOCK-OFF CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.
    8:30-Calculus. Applying triple integrals.
    9:30-Fluids. Bernoulli's equation.
10:30-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and orange juice.
11:30-Organic2. More on aldehydes and ketones.
12:30-Thermodynamics2. More on the Gibbs free energy.
    1:30-Odds. Means and medians.
2:30-Fluids lab #4. We don't even have to write a lab for this one (because there's only three people in our group), we just needed to show up. Nothing too painful, was done in, like, half an hour.
And then I handed in a Fluids assignment.

Dinner was chicken tornados. They took a hell of a long time to cook.
