There is no schedule. They just lock you in a room, bolt you to a chair, shove papers and writing utensils in front of you and tell you to write shit for the next four years.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty I thought I'd be coming home, but now I'm just at Homecoming.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Sun 30 Sep 2012, 12:24 pm

    Entry 022: Homecoming
    From yesterday.

7:00-Everybody on my floor got all rambunctious for homecoming. They wanted to drink in the morning. Wah? I only had 5.5 hours of sleep before this, so I decided to stay in bed. Didn't get anymore sleep.

    9:00-Surfing.

10:45-Breakfast, two pieces of french toast with apple juice.

11:30-Lunch, a cheeseburger, fries, an apple and chocolate milk.

12:00-Fencing was at the rec centre today. I wanted to go, but it was on the fourth floor and outdoor shoes are not allowed on the fourth floor. So I pretty much had nothing to do today.

3:00-I went to the TD Waterhouse Stadium to see the 1:00 Homecoming football game against McMaster. I heard seats were free at halftime, but security told me that's not the case for this specific game.

    4:30-Had a nap.

5:40-Fire alarm. Apparently someone activated a fire extinguisher.

7:00-Dinner, a pulled-pork burrito. Real good actually. I also had chocolate milk and one of my apples.

Rest of the night-Surfing. I had two shots. I didn't feel much different, although after about an hour or so I got real tired for a while. Weird.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty There's this Jimmy Neutron episode from which all I remember is parallel universes and pastrami.

    Entry 023: Getting stuff done
    9:00-Surfing.

10:45-Breakfast, four slices of bacon and two hash browns. With orange juice.

1:00-Lunch, beef taco (in a soft shell), an apple and chocolate milk.

3:00-Met with my design team to work on objectives and constraints for our project. We're really on the ball here.

    4:00-Surfing.

6:00-Dinner, a pastrami/mozzarella/cheddar/tomato/lettuce/cucumber/onion/mayonnaise sandwich on white bread, an apple and chocolate milk. Delicious.

Rest of the night-Surfing, chatting with my dad and working on MasteringPhysics and a microeconomics quiz. Good work all around.

    Week four ends.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty I feel so limited!

Post by Cephalo the Pod Mon 01 Oct 2012, 11:16 pm

Entry 024: I hate Mondays. Ooh, I should get that made on a mug! I'll make millions!!
7:30-Breakfast, two pieces of French toast, with really watery orange juice.

8:30-Applemath. I feel myself slipping behind on the material.

    9:30-Calculus. Just more limits.

10:30-Chemistry, just more...review (he was kinda all over the place, zooming by topics real fast). Although at the end he talked a bit about this cool thing called mass defect. Real rad.

11:30-Lunch, a chicken ciab...somethingsomething. It was breaded chicken in a big bun, with a slice of cheese and tomatoey sauce added. Good stuff. I also had an apple and chocolate milk.

    1:30-Design lecture. Hmm.

2:30-Statics tutorial. I woulda stayed, but my laptop doesn't seem to be able to connect WiFi anywhere on campus aside from my room. I woulda done some online stuff.

    4:30-Macroeconomics. Still behind.

6:00-Physics tutorial. Oh boy. The TA was here for the first time (last tutorial she was on a trip). The general consensus seems to be that she was ineffective, but I dunno. Anyway, I got my last test back. Perfect score! And I feel good about the one I just wrote.

    Rest of the night-Surfing.

Tuesday will be better. Everything's better than a Monday.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty Seriously, how much are you willing to pay for these tickets?

Post by Cephalo the Pod Wed 03 Oct 2012, 12:03 am

    Entry 025: Up( force)s and down( force)s
7:30-Breakfast, fruit bake with orange juice.

8:30-PhyFUCK I'VE LOST MY STUDENT PLAN CARD (along with my room key)! THAT HAS MY MEAL PLAN ON IT! FUCK! So physics is good. We're on forces. We determined net force as a derivative of momentum over time.

9:30-Statics. Enjoyable, learned a thing or two.

10:30-Applemath tutorial. Got a quiz back. 18/30. Nnnnnn. And I stayed even though I wasn't even paying that much attention because I'm a tad behind on learning.

12:30-I'm looking everywhere for my cards. The cafeteria. The campus lost and found. My room. Can't find it. I have lunch by paying with a sheet that lets the cashiers access my account. Lunch is a beer brat, a sausage ona bun and covered in sour cabbage (I'm pretty sure it was sauerkraut). Then I go to my room I FOUND MY CARDS YES!

1:30-Calculus tutorial. Got a quiz back. 6/10? HHHNNNGG! Bear in mind that there were three questions each work five marks. Five of my marks were from the one that was a bonus question. Otherwise I would have gotten 1/10. Next time I'll make sure about what the quiz is actually on.

2:30-Surfing. Did some MasteringEngineering. Going real well.

6:00-Dinner, a deli sandwich: white bread, cheddar, mozzarella, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise. I have chocolate milk, one of my apples, and a slice of chocolate caramel cake from the deli. I loved it, but the cake put me over my single-meal budget.

7:00-Microeconomics. Great. My professor is a blast as usual. Ineed to catch up on macroeconomics so that I can enjoy it as much as I do microeconomics.

9:25-Me and Abdel signed our roomate agreement.

    9:45-Laundry.

10:15-Floor meeting. A nice gettogether as usual, although a noticeable portion of the floor was missing.

10:30-Laundry. I pass the time by listening to my shuffled full collection of songs without skipping. A great source of inspiration for Neo.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty The temptation to catch a goose and keep it as a pet grows in me.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Wed 03 Oct 2012, 11:31 pm

Entry 026: Real busy for a Wednesday
I have to go to Student Services to reprogram my Student Card. I'll probably have to wait half an hour in line. Ggghh.

7:30-Breakfast, bacon and tater tots, with apple juice.

8:30-Applemath, more on inverted matrices. I started reading my textbook from the beginning to find stuff I was behind on.

9:30-Calculus, more limits. A few common-sense theorems thrown in.

10:30-Chemistry, bunch of stuff on moles and empirical formula.

11:30-Lunch, chicken wings, chocolate milk, and one of my apples.

    1:30-Design, sketching. Actually kinda cool.

2:30-Went to the Material Science Addition to hand in a chemistry lab.

4:30-Macroeconomics, stuff on what counts as money. I liked it, but the slideshow moves to fast for me to fully write down notes.

6:30-Dinner, ham, apple/pumplkin ice cream cake, chocolate milk, and two of my pickles.

Rest of the night-Surfing and MasteringEngineering-doing.

I ought to start doing a monthly review of my time here. I'll get to that sometime during the weekend and summarize September.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty Seriously, I need to work out.

Entry 027: Becoming defined by my love of fencing
7:30-Breakfast, two fruity muffins and orange juice.

    8:30-Physics, forces and inertia.

9:30-Statics, equilibrium. Pretty much the same (good) thing every day: doing lots of problems.

10:30-Design studio. The professor talked. A lot. About something that wasn't really integral to the course, it was just an example of something we'll have to hand in later. Ehh, my team managed to get stuff done in the end.

12:30-Had to wait a while, but I got my Student Card reprogrammed. YEA! Then lunch, a grilled cheese, chicken fingers, one of my apples and chocolate milk.

    3:30-Chemistry. Stoichiometry.

    4:30-Surfing.

6:30-Dinner, two spring rolls and chocolate milk. In my mind, I dragged the chicken fingers into the dinner file. I also had some of my pickles.

    7:00-Surfing.

9:00-Fencing. We got to fight each other! I kinda suck.

Okay seriously, why did you post that picture of me?

    Entry 028: The big reunion
7:30-Breakfast, two pieces of french toast and orange juice.

8:30-Applemath, didn't really pay attention, just read my textbook to catch up.

    9:30-Calculus, beginning with derivatives. Woo.

10:30-Surfing. Had lunch soon after, pizza, two spring rolls, french fries, an apple, a big chocolate cookie, and chocolate milk.

    1:30-Design lecture.

2:30-Chemistry tutorial. A quiz at the end. I feel really good about it.

5:30-I leave for my dad's/mom's throughout the weekend.

    How about that commencement?

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty Two questions?!

Post by Cephalo the Pod Tue 09 Oct 2012, 11:48 pm

Entry 029: Back and ready to be back
7:30-Breakfast and diluted apple juice (you shoulda seen the orange juice!).

    8:30-Physics. Working with second law.

9:30-Statics. Was busy reading up on Applemath for the upcoming quiz.

10:30-Applemath quiz after an hour or so of tutorial. It went really, really well. I understood everything. I missed 1-4 marks on account of running out of time, but it's cool 'cause it's out of 30.

12:30-Lunch, meat stromboli, apple and chocolate milk.

1:30-Calculus quiz. Did not go as well. Only two questions, and the one I couldnèt (really) figure out. Here is hoping.

    2:30-Surfing.

5:00-Dinner, big cheese pizza slice with chocolate milk, brownie thinger (delicious) and three of my pickles.

7:00-Microeconomics. Great as usual. I have a midterm on Saturday. The second half of this lecture was spent working on a practice quiz that I did not print off, so I read up on macroeconomics. The student before highlighted supposedly important parts. I am zooming through much faster than I anticipated, it is awesome.

I am currently catching up with stuff needed in my Design notebook. I meet with my team tommorow.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 4 Empty I'm not afraid of anything anymore...except for witches.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Wed 10 Oct 2012, 11:43 pm

Entry 030: Weight coming off my shoulders...oh, did I hit you?
7:30-Breakfast, sausage muffin with orange juice and blueberry muffin.

8:30-Applemath. Felt a lot better now that I'm caught up. Moved on to unit two, derivatives. Actually pretty awesome.

9:30-Calculus, still on basic derivatives. Or rather, special cases where a function has no tangent at a given point. I was busy catching up on my macroeconomics.

10:30-Chemistry, all on solubility. Ehh. At least I have my macroeconomics.

12:00-Lunch, hot dog with french fries, chocolate milk and one of my apples.

1:30-Design. More on sketching. Busy with macroeconomics.

    2:30-Surfing.

    4:30-Macroeconomics. Busy with macroeco-wait what?

6:30-Dinner, deli sandwich (white bread/cheddar/mozzarella/bacon/tomatoes/onion/pickles/mayonnaise/toasted/awesome) with chocolate milk and one of my apples.

7:30-With my design team at one of my mates' room in Essex Hall, preparing our little report to hand in tomorrow. By the way, Essex hall is awesome! The rooms are so nice. Granted, there's like, four people living there, but it still looks totally worth it. At commencement last Friday, Mr. Farmer told me that Saugeen was designed like a prison, and the windows are suicide-proof.

9:00-Studying with Abdel for the rest of the night. He wanted to hear some of my music. I obliged. He found it loud.

I don't want to feel like I still have a bunch to do, because I don't. I'm pretty caught up. But I don't want to be negligent either. You know what? No. I'm not worried anymore.
