Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty 180 days.

    Entry 177: Studying calculus
Did lots of calculus study today. Brunch was big orange juice, chocolate milk, ranchero chicken sandwich and this odd striped brownie. Dinner was two slices of pepperoni pizza, chocolate milk, an apple and white cheddar popcorn.

    Tomorrow is my programming exam.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty Doubdate.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Fri 19 Apr 2013, 11:30 pm

From Wednesday. Thursday gets no entry.

    Entry 178: Programming exam
This morning I had my final exam for programming. There was quite a bit on pointers, and I never quite understood (the point of) those guys. But I think it went just fine.

Can't remember what I had for breakfast or lunch.

Entry 179: Back from the funeral
I got back to Western in time for dinner. I'm doing just fine. Dinner was meaty spaghetti, Canada Dry, big chocolate milk, white cheddar popcorn, an apple, strawberry yogurt, a butter tart and a slice of lemon meringue pie.

Did a little studying of statics. That exam's tomorrow.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty Just tell me what I got!

    Entry 180: Statics exam
Woke up nice and early at around 9:00 today. Breakfast was cinnaswirl French toast and big orange juice. I went downtown to look for a calculator that I could use in exams. I didn't find one. Lunch was a chicken ciabatta, an apple, strawberry yogurt, chocolate milk, french fries and pecan pie.

During the afternoon, I studied statics. Dinner was chicken wings, a nice big bowl of cherry tomatoes, and chocolate milk. Then more statics. Because tonight is my statics exam. This is the big one. This is the pivotal moment. Sure, there are other exams that have to be passed to pass the whole course, but I don't do too well in statics. If I lose here, I lose everything. And I don't know how much it's gonna cost me to redo it all.

Well I'm out of it, and...I think I passed. I really think I passed. There's a part of me that fears I screwed up, but rationally speaking, I'm sure I garnered up enough marks to get a passing score. It's a relief.

Tomorrow is a break day for studying. Calculus is next.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty I always deliver.

    From Sunday.
    Entry 181: More studying calculus
Today I did MasteringPhysics and studied calculus. I also reloaded my laundry card with $10 and washed my darks and lights.

    Entry 182: Calculus exam
Not as scary as statics, but just about as difficult. I got out of that and didn't do much until Bryan brought me to St. Marys for the next day. I have a job interview at Norampac. Breakfast was two fruity muffins and big orang juice. Lunch was pork teriyaki saute, strawberry yogurt, an apple, a bag of chocolate caramel eggs, and white cheddar popcorn.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty They made me write a test.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Thu 25 Apr 2013, 11:07 am

So I had that interview on Tuesday. It went well, I think. The following entry is from yesterday.

    Entry 183: Materials exam
Most of today was spent studying. Breakfast was two bagels and big orange juice. Lunch was pasta with 3 meatballs, chocolate milk, white cheddar popcorn, a big bowl of blueberry parfait and a bottle of Sprite. Dinner was a hot dog and chocolate milk.

The materials exam, like the 3 preceding term tests, was purely multiple choice. Very straightforward. I'm feeling good about it.

    Entry 184-186: Studying Physics2
Now time for the Lazy-River portion of exam period. I'm comfortable about Physics 2 and have a lot of time to study, so the past few days have been very uneventful. Although the cafeteria has been turning more and more desolate as Saugeen-Maitland's closing day approaches.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty In retrospect.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Tue 30 Apr 2013, 2:07 am

    From Sunday.
    Entry 187: Physics2 exam
Kind of an anticlimatic last night. The Physics courses have always been some of the easiest ones for me, so to have this exam on my last night of the school year is not very fitting. But whatever. My room is all packed up. Everything is in bags and boxes, except for my bedding and the computer I'm typing from.

    This is it.

So I have a meeting on campus next Friday with probably a Statics professor to discuss the exam which I have not seen but apparently got a 20 on it.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 14 Empty If only I could be this spontaneous with Neo.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Tue 03 Sep 2013, 10:02 pm

    Epilogue
    It's over.

A few weeks ago, I got a new mark for statics on my Student Centre. I went from a  39 to a 63. Presumably I got a 68 on the re-xam. What this means is that I don't have to take a whole 'nother year of statics just to pass. I finished my first year of Western Engineering with an average of 77.467, with no failed courses. Neat.

Do I have regrets? Sure. Do I have satisfaction? Hell yes. Do I have a loofa? NO, MY MOM THREW MY OLD ONE IN THE GARBAGE. I'VE BEEN WASHING MY BODY WITH A BAR FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS.

I know what must be done. I know what to do more, what to do differently, what to do when the Muffin Man barges into your house, puts a gun to your wife's head, and asks for the 50G early. What you do is run at him, and fight, never stop, because any defeat, is complete defeat. Don't let mankind burn you, don't let it have its way. Because you, are power.

So get ready folks, because year two is about to start.
