Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 7 Empty Although it turns out I got a 65.5 on the physics midterm.

    Entry 060: Ssh, Abdel's sleeping
Abdel didn't come home last night. Apparently he was out all night studying. I left to have a shower, and when I got back, he was there sleeping. Bizarre, but whatever.

7:30-Breakfast, two chocolate chip muffins. With orange juice.

8:30-Physics. We're on to rotational motion. Looks fascinating.
9:30-Statics. Not paying attention, studying applemath. The material's actually very interesting. I really like this course.
10:30-Applemath test. I think I'll pass this time.

12:30-Lunch, beer brat with apple and chocolate milk.

1:30-Calculus tutorial. There was no test, and we didn't get the last one back. Kinda pointless.

2:30-Surfing. Abdel woke up (for the final time) at 5:30. Yes, he did have classes today. He woke up at 2:30 when I got back, and also when he had a class. Delightful.

6:00-Dinner, deli sandwich with apple, peach yogurt, chocolate milk and brownie.

7:00-Microeconomics. I GOT A 90 ON MY MIDTERM!! YES!!! Oh, and tonight's class was fun, too, as always.

9:00-Studied design with Abdel for the test tomorrow. Wednesday should be fine.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 7 Empty Meanwhile, in the Walkyverse...

    Entry 061: Did I pass?
7:30-Breakfast, three chocolate chip muffins and orange juice.

    8:30-Applemath, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
9:30-Calculus, I was just doing practice questions.
    10:30-Chemistry, equilibrium.

12:00-Lunch, klondike chili with an apple, fries and chocolate milk.

1:30-Design test. So we were told that it would be on both manufacturing and graphics. The test is out of 40. There were, what, 3 graphics questions. Not that I studied for graphics (I paid enough attention in class, focussed my studying on manufacturing), but I was anticipating a balance of the topics. Such bullshit.

2:30-My design team and I gathered together to talk about our second design project. We had some discussion, didn't really come up with anything brilliant.

3:30-Walked around, studied a bit for
4:30-Macroeconomics midterm. I feel confident about most of it. But we all know how good of an indicator that is.

8:00-Art show at Saugeen main lounge. Students portrayed their visual/audio art to other students. Some were even up for a raffle. I put my ballot in for this cool paper-and-toothpicks structure. It looked like a tree and had...words on the top. The creator chose not to explain it to me. Okay. At this time, dinner was two slices of pepperoni pizza and chocolate almonds.

    10:15-Regular floor meeting.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 7 Empty It's a Dumbing of Age joke...I was having trouble making a title.

Entry 062: Thursday's all right for napping.
7:45-Breakfast, two chocolate chip muffins and orange juice.

8:30-Physics is all about rotational motion. Good time.
9:30-I did MasteringEngineering during my Statics lecture.
10:30-Design studio. A peculiar one, in that the professor went into this huge solution to a data-fitting problem involving linear algebra and programming, both of which are half-courses that students haven't necessarily taken yet (I'm taking linear algebra, but not programming).

1:00-Lunch, popcorn chicken, an apple and chocolate milk.

    3:30-Chemistry, equilibrium.

    5:00-Nap. I felt good.
    7:30-Woke up.

9:00-Fencing. I foiled against one person, and then a more expert player taught me the basics of epee. It was so cool, it was the first time I ever played with that kind of blade. And at the end, two execs dual-wielded again.

I leave for St. Marys tomorrow. For design, I'm helping my group by figuring out how to set a mouse trap at various angles.

Entry 063: The Crazy Green Dragon is BACK!
7:45-Breakfast, two french toasts, apple juice and orange juice.

8:30-Applemath. I'm csught up now, and we're on to eigenvalues.
9:30-Calculus. More interested in the assignment questions then the actual lecture.
10:30-Chemistry lab, equilibrium, the last one. I got two tests back: 4.0/10 (I got everything that I answered right) and 8.5/10. And I got a 9.5 in the previous lab.
1:30-Design. Two ladies, one from Professional Engineers Ontario and one from Ontario Student P_______ Engineers (I forget) talked to us about what the community's like. It was okay, I guess.

3:00-Lunch, a bacon cheeseburger, fries, an apple, double chocolate milk and a chocolate chip cookie.

And now I'm in St. Marys for the weekend.

    What do you mean?

Entry 064: Geek Week is sleek up the creek
7:45-Two blueberry muffins and apple juice.
8:30-Applemath, more on eigenvalues. This course altogether feels real abstract.
    9:30-Calculus. Nothing...really...interesting...to note.
10:30-Chemistry. While I was busy doing MasteringEngineering, the professor put up a bunch of weird equations for equilibrium. Huh. Should probably read up on that.

11:30-Chicken souvlaki wrapped in pita with chopped vegetables, and a big chocolate milk.
1:30-Design. Except no professor was there. I left 20 min. in.
4:30-Macroeconomics. Oh, I got a 72.5 on the last midterm. So, awesome.
6:00-Physics tutorial. The test tonight was a lot easier than the last. Not that I'm complaining.

9:00-Dinner, chicken nuggets, a pogo, a big chocolate milk and one of my apples.
And then, the first night of Geek Week. Harry Potter played on a projector. There was a Lego station, and power bars for LAN parties. A PS3 at one wall, and a square of four TVs on another. The square had two N64s hooked up. There was Mario Party (didn't work), Diddy Kong Racing (didn't play), Mario Kart 64 (played a bit) and Super Smash Bros. YES!!! I kicked ass with Fox. And there's four more days of this.

I think I look forward to Tuesdays more than any other day.

    Entry 065: Survey says...
7:50-Slept in, no time for breakfast.
8:30-Physics except wait, what? These two non-my-professor ladies were handing out sheets. I thought I was in the wrong class. Turns out they just wanted us to fill in a survey regarding our professor and course. Went for about 15 minutes, then we had our lecture.
9:30-Statics. So I have my midterm Friday (this course goes all year, mind you).
10:30-Applemath tutorial. The TA didn't really have anything for us to do. Fine by me, I have calculus to review.

11:30-Lunch, meat stromboli, big chocolate milk and two garlic bread sticks.
1:30-Calculus quiz. Went well, I think.
2:30-Surfing, doing some Mastering_________, helping Abdel.

6:00-Dinner, deli sandwich, chocolate milk and brownie.
7:00-Microeconomics, but not before another survey.
9:00-More Geek Week. This night featured board games. There was a Jenga game going on, and something called Hive. It was lots of fun, and like chess. After a game of that I played some MK64 and Super SmFIREALARM.
10:00-Weird, after only 20 minutes, we're already left in. Also, the alarm was triggered by smoke, not a pull station. The lounge got locked, so I just went up to my room.

    ...I want Hive for Christmas.

    Entry 066: Engineering Education
7:45-Breakfast, two carrot? muffins and one of my orange juices.
    8:30-Applemath. Ehh.
    9:30-Calculus. We're on to chapter 5, integration.
    10:30-Chemistry. Ehh.

12:00-Lunch, hot dog, fries, big chocolate milk and one of my bananas.
1:30-Design. Hey, remember that Monday lecture that didn't happen? As of this week the lectures are about the different kinds of engineering, and Monday was supposed to be chemical! WOOOOO! The professor of today says there's gonna be a rescheduling. Today was civil.
2:30-Met with my team to work on project 2.
4:30-Macroeconomics. I should have payed attention more, but MasteringEngineering practice is just so much more fun.

6:30-Dinner, klondike chili, big chocolate milk, chocolate covered almonds and fuzzy peaches.
7:30-Handed in my last chemistry lab.
8:30-Geek Week. There was a trivia competition at 9:30. I didn't win, but it was still fun.
    11:00-Laundry.

So I have my statics midterm Friday. Wow, that's kinda coming up soon.

Entry 067: Giving blood and taking tests
7:45-Breakfast, two french toasts and one of my orange juice.
8:30-Physics, we're on to chapter 11, more on rotation. I already did the assignment due in a week, so I just did MasteringEngineering.
    9:30-Statics, more MasteringEngineering.
10:30-Design studio. Boring, but my group discussed our project 2, so it wasn't a total waste of two hours.

1:00-Lunch, two grilled cheeses, one of my bananas, big chocolate milk and peach yogurt.
1:30-Blood donation #8. I looked back at my archives, and I've realized that I was supposed to go last week. But I could still go today.
    3:30-Chemistry. Test tomorrow.
    5:00-Surfing.

7:30-Dinner, crispy chicken parmasean, big chocolate milk, cheese bun and one of my apples.
9:00-Went down to play Super Smash Bros. No fencing tonight. I need to rest my donor arm.
    Big tests-day tommorow.

    Entry 068: Statics midterm
    7:45-Woke up oh shit.
    8:30-Applemath.
9:30-Calculus. We got our midterms back, although I already new my mark from online; 89. Yes.
    10:30-Got back to residence.

11:30-Lunch, burger, onion rings and big chocolate milk.
1:30-Design, electrical and computer engineering. The guys were real quiet..
2:30-Chemistry tutorial. Finished only most, but I feel good about it.

6:00-Dinner, beef flauta, cheese pizza slice, one of my apples, and big chocolate milk.
7:00-Statics exam. Boy do I feel not to good about it sorta. I stumbled all around, answered not all of it, and lost confidence a some questions. I think I'm screwing up.
9:30-Geek week movie, Serenity. I actually liked it tons.

And now, I'm going to sleep.

I haven't felt so happy in months.

So I've come to discover that the $2500 I "lost" just went to pay for something due in the future. So it's not that I have less money, but that I need to pay less in the future.

That is such a load off of my mind. Finally I can enjoy things.

    Entry 070: Catapult into success
I met with my design team today. We tested our mousetrap launcher. It's a launcher using a mousetrap, not something that launches mousetraps.

Lunch was Bowling Over: Giner Chicken, with french fries.. And big chocolate milk, and one of my apples. Dinner was a big slice of pepperoni pizza, strawberry yogurt and big chocolate milk, with apple caramel cheesecake for dessert.
