Entry 042: All of this feels so familiar
7:30-Breakfast, two fruity muffins and orange juice.

8:30-Applemath, vector spaces. Wasn't paying much attention, was busy catching up on applemath.

9:30-Calculus, more exponentials review. Nothing I don't already know.

10:30-Chemistry, starting on thermochemistry. Pretty cool.

12:00-Lunch, two hot dogs with french fries, chocolate milk and one of my apples.

    1:30-Design, the third graphics lecture.

    2:30-Surfing.

4:30-Macroeconomics. Paying a lot more attention now since my midterm.

And not much else for the rest of the night. Some talking with parents. Tomorrow's a big day, though. Should be fun.

    Entry 043: Chemistry midterm
7:30-Breakfast, two pieces of french toast (the server actually called it, although she said only one) and apple juice.

    8:30-Physics, focussed on a few high-class problems.

    9:30-Statics, more on cross product.

10:30-Design studio, still on that first project.

1:00-Lunch, a slice of (unusually salty, or maybe I'm just beginning to notice) pizza, and a beef flauta, with chocolate milk and one of my apples.

    2:00-Practiced for statics midterm tomorrow.

3:30-Chemistry, enthalpy. I now sit with this group I see in my classes often. They're all apparently off-campus.

5:00-Dinner, deli sandwich, yogurt and chocolate milk.

6:30-Chemistry midterm. It was hella easy. Twenty-five multiple choice and we had two hours to do it. I did it in one.

8:00-I chatted with Aleksander, a fellow engineer floormate, for a bit. Small talk really.

9:00-Fencing. Small group tonight. Funny story; two of the executives were fencing with sabres, and one of the blades broke a good quarter of it just flew off. I played against a few people, not really winning much, but I feel myself getting competent.

So midterms, eh? This should be a fun weekend.

    Entry 044: Statics midterm
7:30-Breakfast, two chocolate chip muffins with orange juice.

8:30-Applemath, still on vector spaces. Still behind a bit.

9:30-Calculus, more on exponentials and logarithms. Nothing new.

    10:30-Surfing.

12:00-Lunch, two beef tacos with chocolate milk and one of my apples.

1:30-Design lecture. The pattern seems to be:
    Monday: Manufacturing.
    Wednesday: Graphics.
    Friday: Generic teamwork shit.

2:30-Chemistry tutorial and quiz. Shit, I only answered, like, half of the quiz.

5:30-Dinner, three slices of my pizza and one of my apples.

7:00-Statics midterm. Went real good. There were two questions, and I managed to answer all but half of the second. And I felt confident in everything.

Rest of the night-Surfing and studying for physics. Weekend's starting off good.

    Entry 045: Physics midterm
Breakfast was two french toasts and orange juice.
Lunch was a meat stromboli with fries, an apple and chocolate milk.
Dinner was my last three slices of pizza.

My physics midterm went great. I answered a good 90% of the test.

Oh, and the fire alarm was pulled at 1:30. That's #5 (4th experienced).

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 6 Empty Hurricane my ass.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Tue 30 Oct 2012, 11:40 pm

Entry 048: You learn lots of things on this particular day.
7:30-The showers have no warm water. I am not having a shower. Breakfast is french toast sandwich filled with strawberry sauce and creamcheese. And apple juice.

8:30-Physics, something new actually. Centre of mass. It's wicked.

9:30-Statics, more on cross product. Specifically, couples.

10:30-Applemath tutorial, with a quiz at the end that went shit. I answered only a fraction of the quiz, just like my first one. Ehh, it's okay, I got a 14/10 on my last calculus quiz.

12:30-Lunch, chicken fingers, pizza, an apple and chocolate milk.

1:30-Calculus tutorial. We actually learned something new. Deriving the inverses of sinx and tanx. And I had a moment where I recited 20 digits of pi aloud. Kind of got off-topic.

3:00-Stayed in my room and helped Abdel with MasteringPhysics while surfing on my own.

6:10-Dinner, a salad and chocolate milk. Lunch was big, dinner is small.

    7:00-Microeconomics.

    10:15-Floor meeting.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 6 Empty So I've started reading Dominic Deegan. It's ten years old. It gets updated daily.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Wed 31 Oct 2012, 11:01 pm

    Entry 049: This is Halloween
7:30-Breakfast, two cinnamon buns and one of my orange juice bottles.

8:30-Applemath. I really ought to pay attention to these lectures more. Or study more. Just...give more of a shit.

9:30-Calculus. All we did was talk about stuff that we did yesterday in our tutorial. What the hell?

10:30-Chemistry. We talked about work and heat in reactions, getting on to Gibbs free energy I think.

12:00-Lunch, deli sandwich and chocolate milk.

    1:30-Design, graphics.

2:30-Met with my design team for an hour.

    4:30-Macroeconomics.

    6:30-Lunch, chili and chocolate milk.

    Rest of the night-Surfing, MasteringPhysics.

Entry 050: Wow, today's important! It would be a shame of something happened to it.
    12:50-Fire alarm #6. I didn't get to sleep until 2:20.

7:30-Breakfast, strawberry fruit bake, with really diluted orange juice.

    8:30-Physics, momentum.

    9:30-Statics, more on couples.

10:30-Design studio. All the teams presented their prototype for a product that makes a householf activity safer. Good thing I got such a great sleep last night! And we got kept back for half an hour because the presentations went on too long.

    1:00-Back at residence.

2:00-Lunch, popcorn chicken, two grilled cheeses, an apple and a double chocolate milk.

    3:30-Chemistry, Gibbs free energy.

    5:00-Dinner with mom at Harvey's.

6:45-Had a nap. I only got four and a half hours of sleep last night.

    7:45-Woke up. No, really.

9:20-Fencing. Turns out that Marta, one of the instructors, memorized the periodic table in high school too. So that was cool.

I leave for my dad's tomorrow.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Fri 02 Nov 2012, 10:46 pm

    Entry 051: Thermochemistry.
7:30-Breakfast, two french toasts and two chocolate chip muffins. With pretty good orange juice.

8:30-Applemath. Still behind. Nothing that can't be remedied with a good read through my textbook.

9:30-Calculus. Was more focused on reading my chemistry lab.

10:30-My chemistry lab. We found the heat capacity of a calorimeter.

1:30-Design, boring Friday oh hello what's this? We have been told about project 2; design something that will get a ping pong ball launched from a mousetrap to land on a target several meters away.

2:30-Waiting for my dad to pick me up.

4:00-And my dad has picked me up. Home for the weekend.

    Entry 052: Low marks.
7:45-Breakfast, a bowl of Lucky Charms and a glass of orange juice.

8:30-Applemath, which I spent catching up on my own. Last night I found out that I got 40% on the last test. I'm pulling a 63 right now.

9:30-Calculus, which I spent doing some practice questions.

10:30-Chemistry. Oh, I got a 68 on the midterm. Did not see that coming.

11:30-Lunchtime, beef teriyaki saute and french fries, with chocolate milk.

    1:30-Design, the manufacturing meeting.

2:30-Travelled to TD Canada Trust to deposit my graduation awards.

    4:30-Macroeconomics.

6:00-Physics tutorial. The quiz that was supposed to start at 7:00 and end at 8:00 didn't start until around 7:37 and ended an hour later.

Rest of the night-Surfing. Although I do have a lot of work to keep me busy this week.

Entry 053: Falling apple, rising slope.
7:45-Breakfast, a bowl of Lucky Charms and a glass of apple juice.

8:30-Physics, we looked at momentum today. I have recently decided that I like this professor. He draws a lot, and it makes him unique.

9:30-Statics, still on moments, kinda distracted by calculus practice.

10:30-Applemath tutorial, nothing much, left by halfway.

12:00-Lunch, sausage on a bun, an apple and chocolate milk.

1:30-Calculus quiz. I feel great about it.

2:30-Surfing, doing assignments, helping Abdel out.

6:00-Lunch, a deli sandwich, double-sized chocolate milk, and a brownie. Really good brownie. Brownie good enough to make me go over budget more than I already am.

7:00-Microeconomics. So apparently I have a midterm Saturday. Okay.

    10:20-Laundry.

I have a lot to do Wednesday.

Memoirs of a Mustang - Page 6 Empty Damnit I need to sleep.

Post by Cephalo the Pod Fri 09 Nov 2012, 12:54 am

I was real busy Thursday night, so here's a double entry.

Entry 054: Witness my work ethics!
    7:30-Breakfast. Lucky Charms, I think.

    8:30-Applemath.

9:30-Calculus. Midterm for that is coming up.

10:30-Chemistry, going on to rates of reaction.

    12:00-Lunch.

    1:30-Design.

3:00-My design team and I met to finish up on our design report. Oh, and Ronnie got my computer to hook up to wireless wi-fi. Sweet,

    4:30-Macroeconomics. Midterm next Wednesday.

    7:00-Dinner.

And I stayed up real late, catching up with the notebook I need to hand in for design class. I'm tired, but things are gonna get better.

Entry 055: Trying to not be tired
7:45-Breakfast, two french toasts and orange juice.

    8:30-Physics. We're on elastic collisions.

    9:30-Statics.

10:30-Design studio. We're starting on project 2, designing a device that will assist a mouse trap in sending a ping pong ball any specific distance. There wasn't much structure to the class. Hell, after I handed everything in I left after just over an hour.

    1:00-Nap time.

2:00-Lunch time, two grilled cheeses, an apple, chocolate milk and a brownie.

    3:30-Chemistry, rates of reaction.

And at 4:30 I pretty much had the night to myself. Dinner was a big bowl of chili and chocolate milk. Later, I went down with three floormates for the snack bar. I got Swedish Berries.

I went to fencing, and I gotta say, it was the funnest meeting yet. I played left-handed. I learned it's legal to change hands during a match. Two executives fought dual-wielding style. Two executives fought penguin style.

    Things are getting better.

Entry 056: A test of my abilities
    7:45-Too late for breakfast.

    8:30-Applemath.

9:30-Calculus, just review for the midterm tomorrow. Aww.

10:30-Breakfast, Mini Wheats and apple juice.

12:00-Lunch, philly steak sandwich and chocolate milk.

1:30-Design, just a bunch of students talking about international opportunities. Meh, but we did do a survey about Western Engineering, and that was fun.

2:30-Chemistry tutorial, rates and heat. I actually answered everything, yay.

6:00-Dinner, big cheese pizza slice with an apple, chocolate milk and a chocolate cookie.

And not much else for the night. I did a microeconomics quiz as part of my studying for tomorrow's midterm. I got a 55. Nnnnnhhh.

    October in review
I'm missing $2500 OSAP dollars. This is kind of freaking me out, and I've been too busy to tell the government about it. I need to get to that.

Not much has happened. My design team had its first project throughout this month. My grades are dropping. 80s and 90s on chemnistry tests turned into a 68 on a midterm worth 35%. I keep falling behind in Applemath. I'm getting lower and lower scores on microeconomics quizzes. I'm starting to slack; that needs to stop.

So, basically, I have a lot to do.

Entry 057: Midterms, Round 2 GO!
I woke up around 9:30. Didn't bother to get breakfast. Lunch was a cheese chiabatta, french fries, an apple and chocolate milk. Dinner was two chicken drumsticks given to me by someone else because they were full, chocolate milk and a small chocolate cake thinger.

At 1:00, I had a microeconomics midterm. Pretty regular, a bunch of multiple choice. I feel good about it.

At 7:00, I had my calculus midterm. Odd thing, it was supposed to be 2 hours, but the professor gave us an extra hour to work on it. And not in one big chunk, he kept updating every 5-10 minutes. Kinda frustrating when your tensed up for the final few minutes only to be told that you still have time. The test itself was hella hard, but I answered practically all of it. I feel good about it.

    That's it.

Entry 058: Here come's the Sunday
I woke up at around 10:45. No breakfast. Lunch was three beef tacos, an apple, double chocolate milk and a chocolate chip muffin. Dinner was a deli sandwich and chocolate milk.

I had a floor rep meeting tonight. And I did laundry. Didn't do much this afternoon. Although I did go for a walk. Actually, when I was going down the Saugeen stairwell, I passed 2-Unit's lounge. And four guys were playing SSB. 64. Holy shit, that's awesome. I didn't join in, thought that would be intrusive, but Geek Week is happening at Saugeen next week. That should be good.

Hey, no fire alarm this weekend!

    Entry 059: It's the "I have a-" Drinking Game!
7:30-Breakfast, two blueberry muffins and orange juice.

8:30-Applemath. Starting on the 5th unit. I have a test tomorrow.
9:30-Calculus, concavity. I did practice questions.
    10:30-Chemistry, more on rates.

12:00-Lunch, meatball/tortellini stew, an apple and chocolate milk.

    1:30-Design. I have a test Wednesday.

    3:00-Surfing.

    4:30-Macroeconomics, review. I have a test Wednesday.

6:00-Physics lab, momentum and energy in 1-D collisions. Probably the funnest of them all, and the last btw. We slammed little carts against each other, and then sent one against a magnet.

9:00-Dinner, slice of pepperoni pizza, an apple and chocolate milk.
