Re: Le Cinéma
I liked the Lego movie. fun fact the guy who does the voice of Abraham Lincoln in the movie also did the voice of Abraham Lincolns clone in the show clone high. which was also made by the same people. just learn that recently.

Re: Le Cinéma
I'm guessing brandon did it. It really is a happening thread and will probably get posted in the most.
Btw, can anyone think of any upcoming movies that look interesting? I honestly can't think of any off the top of my head. I'm slightly looking forward to Dr. Strange....but the Marvel cinematic universe is sort of dusty

Re: Le Cinéma
Whoa, never heard of the red turtle but I watched the trailer and it looks sick. Studio Ghibli is one of the production companies working on the movie. Too bad the trailer I watched gave away a shit load of the movie.... :

Re: Le Cinéma
i saw secret life of pets, it was aight.
You guys will love this next bit:
The best part of the movie was the minions short film that aired before the main feature.
Would probably not recommend it tho. Unless you are somehow able to just watch the minion film.

Re: Le Cinéma
I haven't watched a non-theater movie in a while so I honestly don't have too many recommendations.
But I watched "A Letter to Momo" recently: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1853614/?ref_=nv_sr_1
It's a pretty nice movie! It's about a girl who has to reluctantly move to a small island next to Japan after an incident. She isn't used to the countryside and wants to return home to the city from where she came. I would go past that minimal description but I don't want to give too much of the plot away.
I'm not even sure if you'd like it but you could give it a try. The animation in it is really top notch and has a very visible ghibli influence. It's a pretty "feel good" movie so if you're feeling like something uplifting, then this is the movie for you. Now there are actually quite a few genuine sad moments but hey, this isn't Schindler's List.

Man, don't watch that trailer. I'm pretty sure it spoiled something pretty big.Vyzor wrote:I haven't watched a non-theater movie in a while so I honestly don't have too many recommendations.

deep mining there alpha,
also watched Waterloo for the first time, really cool
dont think a movie like this will be made ever again, all the huge real sets and the immense amount of people of set (or in the field) would all be replaced with crummy cg, what a shame.
