I saw a film from 1981 by George A. Romero the other day. Beautiful movie that tackles the concepts of personal meanings in life, belonging, as well as who and when to lead a people. But most importantly its a movie about people a group of lovable scamps trying to live there life free of the corruption of modern society. Its a moving piece where you care for each characters motivations with a perfectly fitting ending. But I only foolishly bought it because this is the movie poster.

this is the second time i've seen teen titans go defend its sillyness and break the 4th wall by pointing out it's ok to be silly.

kind of sad they need to do that.

Haven't seen Young Justice, but I imagine it's similar in tone to the original Teen Titans show?

In which case, it's kinda weird for Go to try to distance itself from YJ, as if TT was never serious.

Young justice is sick, more serious than even the original teen titans but less serious then justice league I would say. TT Go is NOT TT, its literally a joke.

Over the Garden Wall is definitely a show I would recommend. Its from Patrick Mchale, the same guy responsible for adventure time, and consists of Ten 11 minute long episodes. If you're not ready for that commitment you can check out on Youtube the short Tome of the Unknown, which was a prototype for the show.

Manchester by the sea was pretty good but it had an extremely unsatisfying ending. The film was absolutely heart-wrenchingly sad, had great music, and phenomenal acting and cinematography. Would not be surprised if it won several Oscars, its definitely a very very well made film. Would recommend!

Aw man, LOVED Over the Garden Wall.

The three main characters are absolutely loveable, and the main antagonist is wonderfully menacing. The setting has a great atmosphere to it, allowing humour and horror evenly throughout.

A little late to the party, but Over the Garden Wall is awesome. I plan to watch it every October because it was so good.

    ------

I watched Suicide Squad a couple weekends ago. Surprisingly enjoyable for a modern superhero movie. The concept of supervillains being forced to work for the government is kind of cool and the plot wasn't too bland. The villain was pretty uninspired and personality-less though. lt was unfortunately loosely connected to Batman v Superman, but it was only one line of dialogue referencing it. The main characters (Harley and Deadshot) were enjoyable and loveable but the rest of the cast was sort of mundane. Idk, I wouldn't exactly recommend it but I don't think watching it would be a waste of time. I love you

See, on its own that concept is amazing. Roping supervillains into Black Ops missions sounds so cool.

The problem is that there's no good reason to resort to a bunch of normal-ass criminals to fight an ancient deity. Why the fuck did no one call Batman or Wonder Woman?

Ya, that was pretty fuckin stupid. Like, they used an insane clown lady who fights using a baseball bat to take down some aztec-esque god. I guess america's army is so pigshit in the DC universe that any mental patient right out of the insane asylum is a better option

I think that is more of a generic Hollywood trope of making every event that occurs in the story, a big world ending one. I myself have never read a suicide squad book myself can not tell you what happens on average in those stories, but by going on other heroes books they probably focus on smaller (yet still big to us) threats instead of every threat being UUUUUUUGE!

Ya, I let it slide seeing how it was just a comic book movie. Comic book logic doesn't make sense anyways so it doesn't really matter in the end

I love this speech, I also love how King Henry V sounds like hes competing with the score for who is louder. This might be my favorite movie/play speech.

This guy, Kenneth Branagh, directed, in my opinion, the definitive version of Hamlet, as well as Thor of all movies.
