    From yesterday.

    Entry 139: Happy Mardi Gras
7:30-Breakfast was KNOCK-OFF CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.
8:30-Thermodynamics quiz 1. Yeah, I have those. It went okay. Called back to some early stuff.
    10:30-CPUMath.

11:20-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and orange juice.
    11:30-Organic2. Enolates and aldol concentration.
    12:30-Fluids tutorial.

1:30-Actually, we have no Organic2 lab this week. The day ends real early.
Dinner was back to pasta night.
So, appropriately enough, I had a whole bowl of popcorn tonight.

    From Thursday.

    Entry 141: Odds Midterm
7:30-Breakfast was KNOCK-OFF CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.
    8:30-CPUMath. Linear regression.
10:30-Thermodynamics2. The last lecture before its midterm.
11:30-Odds tutorial. It was moved for the second time this semester. What keeps happening to our rooms?
12:30-Chem Club meeting. It was alright, it lasted only about 20 minutes. Small group, from different undergraduate years. We talked about upcoming events like the teacher-student Mixer on the 19th OHP!! Fluids midterm! Yeah, the second-years have a Fluids midterm on the same evening as the Mixer. The club is looking to get the midterm rescheduled to the day before.

Actually, the club needs executive members for next year, including a VP for Finance. I told them about my time in high school as Student Council Treasurer, and they actually seemed impressed with it.

1:30-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and orange juice.
Dinner was fried chicken tornados with french fries, a carrot and chocolate milk. The cooking went way better tonight.

8:00-Odds midterm. Went really good. I like those Odds.

    Entry 142: Thermo2 Midterm
7:30-Breakfast was KNOCK-OFF CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.
    8:30-Calculus. Field vectors.
9:30-Fluids. Small class. Everyone's probably off studying.
11:30-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and orange juice.
    1:30-Odds.

2:30-Thermo2 midterm. It went good. These questions involve some real crazy mathematics. Life was so much easier when everything just went like "PV=nRT". None of this compressibility factor shit and calculating real values.

6:00-Dinner was Subway. And then I had an Eclipse Phase gathering. You can check it out in Entry Lithium in my Something about Space Pirates thread.

Entry 143: Dad Continues to Visit from Puerto Rico
Breakfast was KNOCK-OFF CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.
Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and orange juice.

Dad visited me and Caley in London. You see, ever since Entry 128, he never actually left Canada. He's been stuck here, going through an arduous legal process to get back to Puerto Rico. Anyway, he's leaving next week, and he stopped by to spend the afternoon with me and Caley.

Dinner was HOMEMADE PIZZA. We watched Community as well as that new Netflix show, House of Cards. It stars Kevin Spacey.

11:15-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and chocolate milk.

    11:30-Organic2. Conjugated systems.
    12:30-Thermodynamics2.
    1:30-Odds. T-distribution.
    2:30-Finished up a fluids assignment.
3:30-Went to an info session for Western's career services.

    Dinner was pasta night.
So I subitted a CPUMath assignment tonight, and the OWL website was ludicrously slow. Was everyone trying to submit an assignment at the same time?

Entry 146: A Chubby Cow is a Yummy Cow
7:30-Breakfast was CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES and orange juice.
    8:30-Thermodynamics2 tutorial.
    10:30-CPUMath. Linear regression.
11:30-Organic2. Diels-Alder reactions. And the professor was just bursting with energy today. So we got to a point where we synthesized a steroid in an example problem. It happened to be the chemical that stops menstruation in cows, making them fat. This prompted a slew of hilarious lines, such as the one that makes today's title.
Organic2 professor wrote:Pretend you are all cows. A bull comes and impregnates you all.
*Dashes across the classroom making rapid-fire sound effects, imitating mass insemination*.
    Just a good time.
    12:30-Fluids tutorial.

1:30-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and chocolate milk.
2:30-Organic2 Lab#3 Part1. This lab started out really great, and just gradually went to shit. One of our reactants smelt really good. Like, super cherry-flavoured. Almost no one else smelt/liked it. So, the lab seemed promising for a while. But it just kept going on. And on. And on. Just when I thought there's only be, like, ten minutes left, we'd still have the last two steps left. There was so much waiting. It's a massive waste of time.

    Dinner was pasta night.

    8:30-Calculus. Line integrals.
9:30-CPUMath quiz, on linear regression. Went well.
11:00-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.
11:30-Organic2. We did review for tomorrow night's midterm.
    12:30-Thermodynamics2. More on partial values.
    1:30-Odds.

2:30-I went to a neary Heart&Stroke Foundation office to drop off funds from Heart Month. Mind you, in the past twelve hours it has been and continues to snow a tremendou amount. And the sidewalks aren't paved. It was not a pleasant experience. It was not a pleasant experience in the slightest. And it turns out I forgot something, so I need to come back another day. _______

Post by Cephalo the Pod Sun 16 Mar 2014, 1:23 am

    From Thursday.

    Entry 148: Organic2 Midterm 2
7:30-Breakfast was CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES and orange juice.
    8:30-CPUMath.
10:30-Thermodynamics2. These two classes are always so empty, it seems. It seems we always have stuff on Thursdays/Fridays that keeps students away from these lectures. An Organic2 midterm one week, a calculus quiz on another week. I feel bad for the professors.
11:30-Odds tutorial. Now this class people come to. Of course, this course is attended by all sorts of Engineering students, not Chemical.
11:30-Organic2. We did review for tomorrow night's midterm.

1:00-Lunch was a peanut-butter sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, an apple and chocolate milk.
I managed to finally submit all of the required materials back to the Heart&Stroke Foundation. Heart Month is over.

Dinner was fried chicken tornados, PCKD and more milk.
6:30-Organic2 midterm. Huh, the professor doesn't have suit this time. Anyway, it went well. Confident in my self and my answers. It's funny, give me just three charts (mass spectrometry, infrared spectroscopy and H-NMR) and I can tell you the exact chemical formula of the substance.
I don't know if I can be trusted with this power.

7:30-Breakfast was CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES and orange juice.
    8:30-Thermodynamics2 tutorial.
    10:30-CPUMath tutorial.
11:20-Lunch was a peanut-butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple.

11:30-Organic2. The professor got really serious today. The topic was UV light, which led to air pollutants, which led to general society's unwillingness to change its ways to help the environment. Seriously.
    12:30-Fluids tutorial.
2:30-Organic lab #3 part 2. It was a lot like the lab from last week, just different chemicals involved. Took a little less time.

6:00-Fluids midterm 2. Okay, so I'm writing the test. A TA is walking around, whispering to people. I figure people are just asking questions. He then comes to me, and just points to the correct answer on a multiple choice question. Presumably, that's what he was doing with everyone else. Sketchy.

5:00-The Chemical Engineering Mixer. The Chem Club organized this little get-together of students and professors from Chemical Engineering. Nothing too eventful. We had a dinner of assorted greasy food. There were a few activities, such as CBE Jeopardy, and this one guy did a rap of the CBE professors. It was hilarious.

7:00-Haley had a friend over. We all drank together for an hour or so.

Memoirs of a Mustang: Grade 14 - Page 9 Empty But bus drivers are supposed to be stupid!

Post by Cephalo the Pod Sun 23 Mar 2014, 11:33 pm

    From Friday.

    Entry 154: Heated Discussions
7:30-Breakfast was CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES and orange juice.
    8:30-Calculus.
    9:30-Fluids.
10:30-Calculus quiz. And it was totally not on what I studied for. For the past three weeks we've been learning about field vectors, conservative field vectors, line integrals, all sorts of shit. And the one question that makes up the whole quiz? It's from the previous chapter. What?

11:30-Took the bus back home. The driver chatted with me. Happened to know a lot about thermodynamics, actually. He used to be a steel mill worker.
12:00-Lunch was a peanut-butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple with milk.
1:30-Odds. Then I went back home again.

5:00-And then I went back to campus again for Eclipse Phase. Brent wasn't there; it was just me and Jonathon. So the session was only three hours as opposed to the regular five. Alright. I had campus Subway for dinner.

    Nothing planned for this weekend.

    From yesterday.

Entry 155: Yes, Those are Good
Breakfast was CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES and orange juice.
I went grocery shopping today. I saw some free samples for a chocolate snack. I ate a sample. I bought a pack. It was a good sample. I like it. I like it a lot.

At the check-out, a lady in a suit, she called me over to an empty line that I didn't see. That was nice. And she commented on the chocolate snack (they're OMG's) that I bought. I think she was a higher-up at the store or something.
Lunch was a peanut-butter and JAM sandwich, cheddar cheese, Ritz, and an apple with milk.
    Dinner was chile.
