i'll have to redraw the maps since they seem to be rip.
my next project will be either that or touching up the religious lore and writing the intro (as read by M Kadin)

In my head I always imagined this part of the game occurring when the party finally crosses the border between Appinsgott and Nasivarr. They climb a short mountain range and, upon reaching the peak's plateau, cast their collective gaze onto an ocean-wide spread of clouds covering the Nasivarrian country side.
After a sobering minute of watching the radiant sun pour itself across the clouds like a bucket of orange Day-Glo thrown over a wool blanket, the overcast rises above eye level to reveal two nations charging into battle in the valley below.

    Character Traits

    Konas
Overcomes: Konas is always trying to be something he is not just to try and make others proud of him or impress them. Throughout the story Konas learns that what is important is just being himself and doing what he wants to do.

Original motive: Wants to please his father by becoming a Valghrie knight and to do so his father tells him he has to go to the land below and stop the war.

    Axus
Overcomes: Axus is constantly being over-shadowed by his older, talented brother Jesu. Due to this, Axus has slight self-a-steem issues and sometimes a lack of confidence. Over the span of the story Axus learns that he can be just as amazing as Jesu if not better and grows confident.

Original motive: Just wants to be by Jesus side.

    Ampsith
Overcomes: Ampsith is a rough, aggressive being, but while traveling with the other boys he learns there is more to life than fighting. He learns what it truly means to love and appreciate things/people.

Original motive: Wants to get revenge on the west army for ravaging his homeland (which everyone thought the ampsith race was extinct) and taking survivors to enslave them.

    Phadel
Overcomes: Phadel, to say the least, has trouble with patience. Phadel is always expecting things to go and finish quickly and as he expects them to. Phadel learns to let things go at their own pace sometimes and accept some things the way they are.

Original motive: He is getting old and wants to do something exciting before he dies. Also wants to protect Sharkasia from harm and hates the west army.

    Zyvor
Overcomes: Zyvor comes from a tribe of Ninja-esque rogues who live apart from the city and town life. When Zyvor was a child, he was abandoned from his tribe and parents and because of this has a lack of faith in people, and at first does not trust the rest of the party members. By the end of the story he becomes best of friends with the party and learns again how important it is that he learns to trust people in order to grow and establish good relationships.

Original motive: Expecting great rewards from the east army when he gets the emerald back.

    Jesu

Jesu fosters a nearly unmanageable lust for power.

why are nasivar and appinsgott in constant conflict? I figure it could crudely be chalked up to one of the following:
    - resources (should be larger in scope than just emerald)
    - land
    - social disagreements (slavery or social agenda differences in general)
    - religion

another thing to remember is berardini has political power in the west, so he could have inspired the conflict between the two states for his own personal gain (be it emerald related or anything) however he would still need to be able to sell the conflict to the west to make it seem necessary or at the very least beneficial.

    thoughts?

also, this question begs asking; is this a civil dispute? are nasivar and appinsgott in any sort of alliance of allegiance? do their politics and policies collaborate in any way?
