Re: Pokémon
Also, heres why it makes no sense:
Steelix
This pokemon is a 30 ft 2 inch long chunk of steel. And it weighs under 900 lbs (881.8 lbs).
Now, according to at least 2 sources i have found on google, 1 cubic meter of steel is around 500 lbs (489 lbs). So think about that. I don't think its unreasonable to think that steelix's head itself should weigh more than the heaviest pokemon, Groudon (2094.4 lbs).
Go pokemon.

Re: Pokémon
wow never knew that, yeah steelix should be so much heaver. at his size he would be hollow and with really thin skin. wouldn't make a good fighter.

I'm doing this 'cause why not.
30 ft is 9m. Let us roughly roughly very roughly estimate Steelix's body to be that of a cylinder. The radius we'll use is that of one main-body boulder, sans spikes.Sauxuas wrote:Also, heres why it makes no sense:

Steelix consists of nine pieces (including the tail and head). That gives each one a diameter of 1m. And a radius of 0.5m.
This gives Steelix a volume of (roughly roughly) 7m^3. Multiply that by the given density of steel, and you've got a weight of 3423lb.
Of course, this assumes Steelix is actually steel. What I recall is Steelix being an Onix compressed by the earth's weight to have skin like diamond, so whether that translates to it having a whole body of steel is debatable.

Mewthree.
So anyone read up on this new form of Mewtwo? It's actually being shown in the upcoming pokemon movie.

Debatable.
There's a lot of different criteria regarding Pokemon, and the generations have different placements in different criteria.Vyzor wrote:Anyone else agree that X and Y has the worst pokemon yet? Either that or 4th gen
Core-gameplay-wise, I still nominate 5th gen for worst. At least 4th gen brought in the physical-special split and 6th brought in Fairy type. 5th gen brought in virtually nothing.
All the other criteria (the new Pokemon, the single-player, etc.) depend on me playing the games, which I have not.

Re: Pokémon
I'm just basing my hatred for x and y's pokemon based on their looks. Of course it brought in some good looking Pokemon, but overall it just sucked.
Here are some examples of these blandies:
I don't care how much everyone hated Vanilluxe. At least he tried making ice cream look creative. This cotton candy abomination? Do you sense any bit of creativity put into it? No.

This thing evolved into ice cream even though it's natural habitat is on mountains. Definitely doing a good job blending in with your surroundings

I'm so mad I could eat a living being.
Me neither. Wow, and that's supposed to be an example of their brand new type. Yeah, that sell it.Vyzor wrote:

Re: Pokémon
yeah, it's kind of dust. actually watching it is only amusing when they're trying to withdraw pokemon from a PC, cause they're always so close to releasing some. but all the jokes and memes that arise from it are pretty good.

The "False Prophet".
Well yeah, but ever since they released him he's apparently been vindicated as a martyr.Sauxuas wrote:
