lol i think 3rd gens map is better than second gens (if you only count johto) and first gen has the best map (if second is only johto, but the kanto from first is still better than the kanto from 2nd, just cause its more lively and summery and shit if that makes sense, it's all run down in second gen)

I kinda want to play Black's story mode again.
It was just that much fun. For so long I focused on one pokemon, but Black showed me just how much fun a full team was. Losing all of my pokemon doesn't bug me. Except for the Suicune, Entei and Raikou I got from an event. Those just can't be gotten again.
I'm conflicted.

I really don't want to lose those Legendary Beasts. Flare Blitz is Entei's only achievable fire move that is both physical and potent, and it's achievable only by Event. I guess I'm not planning on using it any time in the near future, but I don't want any regrets.Sauxuas wrote:act on impulse yooo

So I made a new file for Pokemon Black.
And played for four hours yesterday.
I chose Tepig like last time. For this file, I wanted a different experience from before. For one, I wanted to do the post-game properly. After beating the story I just wiped the True Elite Four with the pokemon from my old-gen games. I want the challenge of training for the Elite Four.
I also want to try to have a different team from before. But I don't want to actually think about it, that's too meta. So far I've got 5 pokemon at lv.20-19: Pignite (Oxford), Herdier (Austin), Pidove (Helen), Blitzle (Curtis) and Venipede (Lilian). Aside from my starter, only one of those was also in my old file. Oh, by the way, I've recently arrived in Castelia City.

Beheeyem (Ursula)
Bearctic (Nathan, replaced by Reshiram at the end).
All a few levels under 50 at the end. As you can imagine, this made the Elite Four, N and Ghetsis hard as nalts. I'd like to make a few comments:
Wild pokemon appear way too damn frequently in this generation. Move just one space and THERE YOU GO! There was less time between encounters than the time it took to run away.
I battled Cheren way more than other rivals in the past. And it was always just shortly after getting a new badge (not saying it happened after every gym badge).
Speaking of which, Team Plasma is way more ingrained into the plot than past villains. They showed up in nearly every city, and each encounter was a notable event. The villains really made the story this generation.
Entering N's Room in the climax was a legitimately depressing moment. It really illustrated the depths of N's innocence.
I had way too much fun making a story for my character.
That is all.

Not bad looking. I think it's a smart idea for them to do that as well considering 3DS didn't sell crazy good. People will buy a 3DS JUST for Pokemon X and Y.
