Hey guys, so I feel like we all talk about food a lot, so I figure this thread could be sick to post recipes in or talk about food or recommended things or review restaurants, etc.
I can maybe update this op with restaurant ratings and whatnot. FUN FUN.

So tonight I went to this lil' fry place called Sam Sub and Fryer in Guelph.Food Food Food Samsub-guelph-12
I got combo 3: $6.99 for a regular (double patty) hamburger, fries, and a can of pop. I added cheese and bacon for $1.60. Great value, meal was ready in about 5 minutes. Took it home and scarfed it down. Really really good burger! I would highly recommend it. It was a deliciously basic fast food drive-in style hamburger, however the fries were slightly bland, and I should have maybe put some more salt on them and used ketchup. My can of Nestea was impeccable. Anyways, next time anybody is in Guelph chilling and feels like burgers, I can attest that Sam Sub and Fryer makes a mean burg.

If I was gunna rate it, I would say something like Highly Recommended.

    Already liking this thread!

I'd like to post a recipe I just made up the other day. It was super delicious so you guys should give it a try.

    I call it.......Texmato Eggs.

So I took two eggs and cracked them into a cup and poured a little but of milk onto them. I then put cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, turmeric, and pepper into the cup as well to add that extra flavour.

I mixed them together and put them into the frying pan with olive oil to prevent it from sticking. I then cut up an entire tomato and put the pieces into the uncooked egg. I took some tex mex cheese and sprinkled a decent amount onto the eggs and then just cooked it from there on out. The eggs soaked up a lot of the tomato juice and it was so good. They looked nasty but tasted awesome.

You also don't have to cut up an entire tomato like I did. I just did that because we have a million tomatoes at my house right now.

My dad used to make these thin sausage patties out of ground sausage, the same way you'd mash together a burger patty out of ground beef. You fry it with cheese on top, while toasting a bagel, and then serve it together like a sandwich.

This is the epitome of cooking for me.

Wow that is some genuinely amazing value. I don't know a single burger place here where you can get a combo for that cheap.

And Vy, that sounds great, tomato and egg is a classic chinese breakfast dish. I myself have made it with shredded cheese on top (bullet proof way to whitefy any chinese cuisine) but i'll have to try that seasoning combo it sounds nuts. Turmeric is supposed to be great for you.

also lol classic ty's dad's bagel things

So I went to Pita Hut. It was delicious! I got beef schwarma with lettuce, tomatos, onion, pickles and pickled radish, with garlic sauce, hot sauce and sesame sauce! Would highly recommend! It was 7.99 for beef schwarma. Its no value like Sam Sub and Fryer, but still mad good.

Why aren't sausage burgers more of a thing?
Like, I know sausage eggmcmuffins exist, but it's just not the same as a full burger.

so dullah and i went to nations last week and decided to partake in the buffet they have there. I'd never tried the buffet, so it was probably the most exciting thing I've done so far this decade.

The selection was spectacular, many different types of veggies and meat from all sorts of different ethnicities (as should be expected and the soulful, spunky, steam-filled labyrinth that is nations.
I highly recommend the curried goat, it was GOAT.
I got a 1.4 lb meal (or so, iirc) plus a strawberry bubble tea for around 10 doll-hairs.
review: great selection, quality food, great value

Review of Four Happy, Bubble Tea:

So I got some bubble tea at four happy. Not great. The flavour I got was Strawberry, which to be fair, tasted fine. But the Tapioca was really bad. It was multi-coloured (which I'm unsure if thats normal or not). It was super crunchy which was really nasty. I'd highly not recommend it! Surprised

OKAY, HERES ANotheR REVIEW COMING YOUR WAY

    Squirrelies!

Went there with kiernan (House Bunny) and watched a hockey game, also got some food. I bravely ordered a hamburger from a place not known for its food. When it came out, it was literally bleeding all over my plate, and my burger bun had pink patches. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good medium rare burger, but this was legit red in the middle. CARE. I ATE IT ANYWAYS.

And it was aight, prolly wouldnt order it again tbh. Likely the worst sit-down establishment burger, but then again I didn't expect much walking into a bar like squirrelies and getting food. Fries were aight as well, but tasted like they were McCains from a frozen bag LOL. Anyways, not recommended.

Went to the Works the other day, got the Malibu Meltdown (onion ring, havarti cheese, gouda cheese, brie cheese, and beechhouse sauce) and I can confirm that this is the best burger that i have had in the city of Guelph.

You guys have reached the works, im sure you understand its great.

So I havent updated this in a while. Heres a big post!

A while back, Rob and I went to a place called the Opera House in Toronto.
We got this: The Shaggy Burger

Review: Probably the best burger I've ever had. It was an absolute ZOO of flavours hitting me and oh my. I would highly recommend. And at 10 dollars, its not super expensive for a gourmet burg.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
