For August 20

Song: Moment of Decision

0:00-1:36: A group of friends, having spent who-knows-how-many years trapped imprisoned within a massive mind hive, have managed to escape its grasp. Hidden within an abandoned apartment buidling, they argue amongst themselves about what they are to do now and which courses of action are safe to take.

1:36-2:26: A colossal monstrosity, the physical manifestation of the hive mind, glides over the city silently, its presence felt only by the small group of runaways. They huddle together within the darkness, trembling with fear.

2:26-End: The monster has left. The group is safe, but exhausted and scared. So far, they have no answers to any questions, and any moment now their newfound freedom could be snatched away from them.

For August 21

Song: Old Battlefield
From Fire Emblem: Awakening

Our Heroes are coming home from the war, victorious. It's a montage of soliders traversing the country, a declaration of victory spreading amongst the people.

At 2:30, we get a moment where (spoilers beyond Chapter 9 of Awakening)

Song: In the Shadows

A sort of "Wild Card" character is found helping out a poor group of people live out a war, visiting their haven and providing them with the necessary resources. It's an opportunity to show off his soft side, whereas he's normally portrayed as a manipulative bastard.

A special group of elite heroes have come strolling in to save the day from the overwhelming villains. One of them can turn into a metal giant the size of a mountain. It terrifies the mooks. One of the elites is an old lady wearing all pink that has lightning powers.

For August 24

Song: Go Balls Deep!

A powerful superhuman with water-based powers, imprisoned within an enemy stronghold, finds the strength to fight back against their captive.

The prisoner never wanted any part in any fight, and just wanted to live a normal life. But now, they're ripping apart every pipe they can find and shooting every ounce of water they can find at their captive.

Song: Drought
From Pokemon (Omega)Ruby and (Alpha)Sapphire

An entire state is just gone. It's been completely glassed by a powerful villain. It's being surveyed, because that's just the protocol for Our Heroes, but it's obvious that there are no survivors. It's a flat, barren wasteland. There isn't even dirt or dust, just an unnatural flatness. No clouds in the sky, jusy a beating sun.

For August 26

So, uh, no surprise here, a group of friends are traversing down a snowy hill.

Their superpowers are being tested by the Superpower Organization. It's portrayed by the teachers as a competition, one which is regarded as totally unfair by the telekinetic going up against the teleporter

In reality, each young superhuman is being analyzed individually, with the facade of competition simply providing motivation. The older superhumans teach the younger ones to better use their powers. Everyone has a fun time.

For August 27

Song: Breathlessly

After venturing across the country with a grizzled old man, a young child finally returns to her home town. Except it's been replaced with an eeriely silent field of flowers and rolling hills of grass.

The invading force that ravaged her home has since "restored" it into its current "natural" state, in an attempt to erase the area's history. The little girl wanders a bit, confused and frustrated. The old man was worried that something like this would happen.

The girl can do nothing but weep for the loss of everything she once knew.

For August 28

Song: The Savior of Dream Land

Off in the distance, a large trail of smoke approaches Our Heroes. It crashes down to the middle of a busy intersection with a loud explosion. A man made of fire stands up and roars as fire spreads around him. His screams shift between glass-crackingly high and body-shakingly low.

He rapidly teleports to avoid attacks from the local heroes, not that any attacks that do hit leave a lasting mark on him. He's constantly throttling his body back and forth, almost like someone's clinging to him and he's trying to fling them off. His punches and kicks put holes in any wall or vehicle with which they connect.

This mysterious person terrifies Our Heroes with his power and erratic nature, but he pays them no mind. In fact, soon after, he's off again, in the same direction he was going.

For August 29

Some weird asshole bursts out of a restaurant's garbage bin when he spots two of Our Heroes on a date, deciding now's a good time to annoy them into listening to his cryptic hints on the villain's plans. He tries to be their waiter all the while, even stealing a uniform to play the part.

For August 30

I feel like, in an animated adaptation, this would be great music for fighting the Brontosaurus in the Veldt (or maybe the Thunder Dragon). Terra and her friends working together to bring it down. The physical fighters distract it while the magic-users bombard it with blizzards and fire storms.

For August 31

Song: Discovery of Gravitation

0:00-0:34: A multi-story parking lies in ruin. There is an overcast with drizzling rain. Our Heroes have just finished their first real battle with a supervillain. They're hurt and exhausted, trapped within the rubble, but all alive.

0:34-1:53: A tall, smiling man with an umbrella peaks down from above. Effortlessly knocking aside huge slabs of broken-off concrete, he hops down and gives them a hand getting back up. Our Heroes are very confused about their new powers and the people who have been attacking them, but the man promises to explain everything in time.

For September 1

Song: Amputate Your Metal

A lone heroine, facing off against a large enemy battalion upon a massive aircraft, draws in electrical energy from the storm clouds high up above. She proceeds to steamroll through the battalion, knocking some aside with her brute strength and shooting others from far away with bolts of electricity.

For September 2

Song: Sarabande

The Mischievous Wild Card, having toyed with Our Heroes for quite some time now, decides to step his game up a notch and really test their abilities. He summons forth a massive tower that sends them hurtling upwards.

The Wild Card remains on the top, ascending even further above, while Our Heroes are stuck on the narrow staircase encircling the outside of the tower. The staircase starts to collapse step by step, starting from the bottom, so that our heroes must keep a steady pace to avoid falling to their deaths.

Along their path, a wide assortment of booby traps await them: buzzsaws, spears, explosives, and more. The Wild Card casually mocks Our Heroes from his comfortable chair, calling them unfit for their duty. He refuses to explain this sudden shift in attitude, or even why he's doing this at all. But he doesn't seem to want them to fail

Probably ends with one heroine about to punch him in the face right before he teleports away.

For September 3

Song: The Red Death Ball

A man sits inside a glass castle, high up in the sky. He blasts apart a chunk of this castle, sending a flurry of large shards hurtling towards the city below. Screams erupt all over, of pain, of fear. He does this in the name of his "god", but also to glorify himself.

The heroes who try to stop him are struck with glass projectiles with a terrifying accuracy. Groups are scattered about as they plummet towards the ground.

For September 4

Just a group of friends taking the bus home late at night. It's a fun time. They had a very busy day today, so they have lots to talk about.

Song: The Silent Healer

A very long elevator descends far under the surface of the earth. A red glow emanates from down below. The traveller starts to hear all manner of shrieks and cries. A few monstrous creatures slam into the elevator as it descends. Countless floors of similarly hideous beasts can be glanced during the descent, some completely orderly, others infested with free-roaming beasts.

The bottom floor is just one massive chamber, mostly occupied by a massive spherical machine. One woman is seen giving brisk orders to the dozens of others around her. The unwelcome traveller is spotted, and the boss quickly orders her to be eliminated, to which all of her employees oblige.

For September 6

Song: There Will be Blood

0:00-2:10: A human-sized monstrosity of metal and flesh bursts out of its prison located deep below the earth. It crawls on numerous arms as its lower half remains within the prison. The frenzied beast swings wildly, obliterating anything within reach. Its roars are punctuated by shockwaves that shake the entire underground complex. It slowly pulls the rest of its body free.

2:10-3:19: We get a red-tinted shot from the monster's point of view as it chases a fleeing target. Gaps of silence are matched by gaps of darkness, cuts in he video as the monster gets closer and closer. As the music crescendoes, the beast reaches its targets, swings them into a wall, and brutalizes them into a bloody pulp, the pitch-black cuts now replaced by disruptive static.

For September 7

Song: Melting Sun

Album: Harmony of a Hunter

In an animated adaptation of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, this could play in a quiet scene of Samus ruminating on all that has happened recently, grieving over the friends she's lost before she joins the Galactic Federation in the final showdown with the Source of Phazon. The crescendo at 2:16 matches up with a shot of Samus taking off through space in her ship.

If I were in charge of an adaptation of the Metroid franchise, I'd like to include the hunters from Prime 3 earlier on, to make the scenes with them in Prime 3 have more impact.

For September 8

A lightly snowy evening. The city streets are quiet. We get shots of Our Heroes looking out from their dimly lit homes, separated and somber. One last peaceful night before a big, decisive mission.
