Re: Game Ideas of the Day
was thinkin bout sharkasia and origins. damn those gonna be some good games. just salesmen downtown newton and khyber trying to sell you stuff from their stalls gonna be SO REALISTIC. they'll look you right in the eye and be like "YOU LOOK LIKE THE TYPE OF YOUNG MAN THAT COULD USE A NEW WOLFRAM FUR RUG!" and you'll see them like flirting with the girls there trying to sell them jewls and stuff. all the npcs will converse with not only you but each other, they're all gonna be so real damn.

Wow that SFX make is perfect! That's exactly what we need for Origins sound effects. But does that mean it'll be a pixely soundtrack?

That's not very nice.
Also, sarin is an incredibly toxic chemical used in today's warfare.Kason Birdman wrote:today: the character we created named sara, what about naming her Seren (pronounced saren) based off the word Serendipity. but this could also be mistaken as Serenity.. which is kind of the opposite of Sara/Seren's character.

So what's next?
So, in the main Sharkasia thread, the timeline on page 1 so far has Konas saving Axus and Jesu from the enslaving soldiers. Do you guys have any plot planned immediately after that?

Re: Game Ideas of the Day
we had some ideas. essentially, konas thinks he needs to continue to chase down the western caravan as it heads back home and take back the emerald. axus is hesitant and wants to go home, and jesu get's talked into it somehow which then drags axus into it. i think this happens in some rando town. maybe khyber or something. actually should probably be some smaller village outside sordom.

Deass!
Oh, and I found this today

A game concept this guy made up.This right here is essentially ORiGiNS eh? Found it today just looking through deviantart and was surprised that something so similar to ORiGiNS exists. Like, if origins looked like this, it would be awesome

Re: Game Ideas of the Day
So today I was thinking of a good way to start up the company, and I thought it would be best to develop some games for phones first. It's an easy way to make simple games to start and probably make some decent money off of them for the future.
I thought of a few game ideas today based on what kind of phone/tablet games are popular and why. My first idea was something I called Bee Whiz, or Bombastic Bear. The games premise is that a bear in an airplane or spaceship shaped like a bear, entered a giant bee hive to get honey and is now trying to escape lots and lots of bees. The bear is always in the center of the screen while bees fly fast towards the bear from every direction. The player uses their finger to swipe across the screen to create lines that the bees will run into and die. The lines you draw run out after a while, forcing the player to always be drawing to stop them.
The game would keep score of how long you've lasted or how many bees you killed. The game would start off kind of on the normal difficulty side to let players get accustomed to the gameplay then the difficulty would increase more and more with each wave of bees. I was thinking that the harder a game is on a tablet, the longer people play it. The game will kick their ass, and they'll want to beat their own score or a friends score. I also imagined after every 10 waves of Bees, the player would have to face a boss of sorts. For example, a huge Queen Bee pops up on screen and the player is then told to tap the queen like crazy as it slowly moves toward the bear. The more you tap the boss, the smaller it gets, making it harder to hit.
There could be 2 modes. An endless mode, where wave after wave of bees come at the bear and it keeps your score after you lose. OR/and a mode with set levels that you can beat with scripted waves.
I've thought of a Power-up too that could be in the game. Honeycombs could fly by on the screen and if you swipe over them with your finger, they'll eventually break. Big bear paws would come out and attach to the plane/space ship which makes the lines the player draws last longer. The lines the player draws are meant to represent the bear clawing, which I forgot to mention earlier, so that's why the power up is bear paws.

I love it.
Bee Whiz, go with Bee Whiz.Vyzor wrote:I thought of a few game ideas today based on what kind of phone/tablet games are popular and why. My first idea was something I called Bee Whiz, or Bombastic Bear.
Anyway, this sounds great. Incredible really. Do it. Program it. Sell it.
