the original dub of Akira is just awful. But it sounds so bad that it ends up making me wanna watch the dub even more.

Im not proud of shitty dubs lol. Also dubs are generally shitty. Subs also keep the original dialogue and dont get lost in translation. But like i've said, if the dub is good, I wont watch it in subs.

underground humans rise to the surface with physics-annihilating mecha,
a super-smart teenager with mind-control powers (and mechas) try to wrestle power over Japan from an Empire (with mechas),
two teens operate a sentient, surfing mecha with the power of love,
a speculatory-fiction-obssessed high school freshmen put her clubmates through hell,
teenagers go to school to learn how to fight demons with their partners, who happen to turn into weapons,
a high school student get framed for a classroom massacre and sent to a carnival-esque prison where he learns to shoot blood from his hands like bullets,
teenage girls fight off demonic abominations as their universe puts them through more and more hell,
a ridiculously humanoid robot forget that he just killed the closest known thing to God,
and a high school student power a magic mecha with the ghost of his childhood friend and fight humans with "demonic" superpowers.
