You know what, how about a mod of Brawl (like Project M) with nothing but joke characters? I'd actually be down for that, as long as they went all the way.

How would that be ridiculous they had a dead, blue ,furrie ,hedgehog corps as a character in the last game, and John madden has his own name on one of the best selling video game series ever.

So anybody have any ideas for new Smash stages? The roster of stages doesn't seem to be distributed amongst the Nintendo franchises like the characters are; there's two Metroid stages, one Kirby stage, one Pikmin stage, etc. Also, each game pretty much has an all new set of stages, with a few brought back.

So I don't feel like imagining up an entire roster, although I think a few ideas are worthy of discussion.

Mario Galaxy needs to be repped. It's lack of representation in Brawl is excusable, given how close their development times were. But now there's no dodging it. Plus, a stage with weird gravity would be AWESOME.

Zelda will probably use Skyward Sword for one of its stages. How about a second one from OoT? It was recently remade for the 3DS, so it's, in a way, new. And it kinda got skipped in Melee in favour of Majora's Mask's Great Bay.

How should Metroid be represented? We have (Super) Metroid for the first two games, then Prime was repped with Frigate Orpheon. Just another Prime stage? I suppose Corruption is recent enough. We could always go with somewhere but Other M. How about Sector 3, the lava area? Either boss arena would be nice.

Pokemon will probably be represented by 5th gen in terms of stages. Where to fight? Dragon Spiral Tower? Or how about inside an actual gym, and two trainers are having a Pokemon battle? This franchise is all about the creatures, after all.

How many past stages? 15?

Metroid will most likely be Other M, but maybe not. Norfair was in Brawl. NSMB side scrolling would be better than Mushroomy Kingdom at least btw OoT was represented in the original Smash with Hyrule Castle, but I would like to see OoT3D stage. Think there will be a toon stage again?

As for Mario, i'd like to see a Mario RPG stage, whether from paper mario or M&L, doesn't matter to me. (I would rather paper mario though)

Maybe if Brinstar was in Melee and Norfair in Brawl, the next smash will have Tourain? That'd actually be really cool.

Oh that's right, OoT was in SSB64. I dunno about having another toon stage. It definitely won't be made before SS and OoT stages. Maybe if there's 3 Zelda stages.

A MarioRPG stage would actually be really cool. As someone who hasn't played much of those games, it would be nice to see some representation.

What items should be added in the next Smash? How about Bombchus from Zelda? Oh, and space jump from Metroid, allowing you to jump one extra time.

Something about the items in Brawl seems...off. I don't know what it is, they're just not as fun. Poke balls were definitely better in Melee.

Totally agree Tyler. All of the items in brawl are lackluster. Only two items I thought were good additions were the dragoon pieces and smash ball.

Even then, only one of those come up at a time. It wouldn't be such a problem, if the Dragoon wasn't so fucking hard to PUT TOGETHER!.

Brawl has SHIT items. They feel...forced. Like Sakurai tried to make them really wacky. Theres no power in them

The question is, what made items great before? Brawl kept most of Melee's items. Why do items in the past games feel different.
