Tyler. Its basically like you get the game with restrictions. You can't trade or play with steam friends if you haven't bought anything off steam yet. Once you buy something, then you get the proof of purchase hat, and you are given a few extra perks, like trading and friends. It's like a demo, then you get the real thing if you buy ANYTHING else off steam. Like you could buy $1 dlc and it would count lol. Also, for tf2 we would need like 24 people and an empty server prolly, so its prolly best if its just like a fun thing to do for people who are bored or whatever lol.
