    The Collective Dream Journal

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Fri 24 Aug 2012, 12:18 pm

Ever wanted to remember your dreams to unlock the powers of lucid dreaming? Don't want to waste pen and paper? Want to rack up your post count?

First, dreams from the old forum:
Thursday, July 12, 2012: Something about a party, and getting ready for it. It felt a lot like getting ready for the prom afterparty at Dusty's cottage,

Then playng in the DCVI band. We were outside, no buildings in sight, there was overcast, and we were playing a remix of U.N. Owen was Her. It sounded exactly like this OCRemix.
(Link not present. It's a remix of U.N. Owen was Her.)

I remember another dream from last night! Maybe it took place at the cottage in the same dream, maybe not.
Okay, so there's a storm coming, and funnel clouds start forming. One tornado is coming to the house (I'm in the basement), and apparently it is real hot and boils flesh. Don't know how I know that; maybe it grazed me in the dream.

Thursday, July 19, 2012: This dream played very much like a movie; I don't think I was in it myself.
Okay, so there's this Sin-City-esque city, it's pretty corrupt. This guy is raping this girl, when a stranger comes up to defend her. I think the stranger was Matt Pearce. The girl and stranger turn into mice (superpowers are common here; I think the rapist had some sort of destructive power) and run away.

The tone becomes more comedic as the rapist fails to catch either of them (I don't actually remember the chasing, just that the mousepeople got away rather easily). The stranger takes sanctuary in a random girl's house (who can also mouseshift). She's kind enough to make a meal for him.
    End.

P.S.: I distinctly remember the road that the mousepeople were first running on was very sloped. They were running up it. Also, the second girl's home was an apartment.

Friday, July 20, 2012: So in this dream Mr. Jones owned a massive...playgroundish thing. It was an exercise facility, with this big obstacle course and water slides that took you to the start of the course. For the most part, it was a downwards journey (maybe), and it felt high up. There was a bunch of kids from our grade. I forget who exactly, but I'm sure there was at least a class-sized amount. And Matt Wakem was there.

So there was this expectation of me to do well (because I was one of the "smart guys:' in hindsight, this makes absolutely no sense), and I was cool with that, because I love obstacle courses. I wasn't doing well, however. I moved around nervously, like when we were hopping the rocks in Burwell (real life). And this got Mr. Jones mad. Like, mad as if I was in trouble.

He took the title of "Smart Guy" from me, and for the rest of my dream, I was partnered up with Matt Wakem (oh yeah, the students ran the course in pairs).

Sunday, July 22, 2012: Something about a big ice-arena-like facility. And corporate corruption. And Eric Cartman.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012: So last night I had this dream where I peeled off a massive chunk of skin off the sole of my foot. The peeled-off area was black, but when I applied pressure, it went back to regular colour.

There was another dream I remember remembering a lot of details of, but I forget them now.

Now for dreams I've had since the old forum was shutting down.
    1. In a sort of inside zoo with a few peers, don't know who they are. There's huge, freakishly large gorillas, and we're abusing them (I forget how). Then one accidentally gets it BALLS smashed by a giant iron bar. It's howling in pain, and we're just laughing.

Later, a guy comes in from the small bank place that is connected to the zooplace. Turns out he's holding a GUN. Starts shooting up the place, and I'm planning out how to take down the bastard and then I wake up.

    2. Vague. Pinkie Pie. Ice cream. Outside on the second story of the back of a friend's house. Dusk.

    3. Recent one. So my memory of this begins with a bunch of guys preparing to execute me inside a fancy house. In a attempt to take them down with me, I smash a nearby vial, thinking the chemicals inside will cause a huge explosion. Nothing happens. I dash out, and an old man comes by. I think he's one of the bad guys, but it turns out he's part of the cruise ship I was on and they've come to rescue me.

I had a dream last night where, it was Prom night again and we were all on a bus (school bus) going to an after party. The bus driver was really creepy and he had a demonic looking dog with him. We were all in the country side going to this party, having a good time, when suddenly the bus stopped working. The bus driver went out to check what was wrong and we all stayed inside. The bus started to move backwards as if something was broken and we started to fall down a hill into a forest. The bus smashed into a tree causing it to get destroyed. The bus driver was now gone and we were stuck in the woods. Most people wanted to stay there until help arrived, but me, Tyler, Rory, and someone else wanted to get to the party for help. So we all left everyone and went up the hill back onto the road and started heading towards the party. We had been walking for a long time when we suddenly heard a very large demonic horn. We looked behind us to see the School Bus, on fire, honking demonically, heading right towards us. It was followed by the Dog which was not even scarier. We ran as fast as we could away and tried to hide. We reached some country house, knocked on the door, talked to some guy, got to a grocery store blahblah. Everyone was at the grocery store and I asked everyone what the heck happened back there with the demon bus an no one remembered anything. I thought it was a dream, then I asked rory, tyler and the other person if they remember, and they all did, so I thought it must have been true.

    New dream.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Sun 02 Sep 2012, 12:47 am

Last night, I was stuck in an underground room, imprisoned along with a robot for whatever reasons. Leonard Hoffstater (from The Big Bang Theory) guarded us. I had a little metal device shaped kind of like s stick figure, made of metal and featuring an elongated left arm with a circle for a hand. This device, like a voodoo doll, could move the robot's limbs along the electrical ring he was trapped in. I felt bad for using it. I was just sitting on the floor.

Leonard, out of sympathy and goodness, breaks the electrical ring and lets us escape. The robot...turns into Italyins? I dunno, maybe the robot was actually Italyins and I didn't notice. The subterranean facility looked very industrial, and it was located under D.C.V.I. The dream ended before we escaped.

    Ewoks and dark paths.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Sun 02 Sep 2012, 9:22 pm

I remember two settings from last night. The first...something about evil Ewoks. Nobody believed me that they were even real. I was in my rec room on the computer, when all of a sudden the Ewoks start coming out. I don't recallwhat it looked like, I just remember climbing upstairs, ready to tell my family off.

The other one involved a long, open road in the country at night. A few of you guys (I forget ho) were walking with me. Where we were, where we were going, I do not know.

Does anyone else have trouble remembering dreams when they're sleeping in unfamiliar locations?

Totally yo! Sad last night feels like the first time I had a dream that I could almost remember in a long time. I'm already starting to lose all the details though.

I had a dream I won olympic nordic skiing, and exept we went along a rollercoaster track, and at the end somehow it got all tangled, so I epically just grabbed the whole track and pulled it behind me. And when I won they played the wind waker opening theme. Totally radical shit.

I dreamt last night that I was in some house and I was with a family that I didn't know. It started getting attacked by some...army? I ran upstairs and hid behind a curtain with a sword. Some girl was running around upstairs screaming trying to get away from a guy trying to rape her. I ran out of the curtains and stabbed him through his stomach. That's all I can remember.

    The Rolling Mile-Stones.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Sat 15 Sep 2012, 8:49 pm

My first remembered dream at university!

The setting looked remarkably like my residence, Saugeen-Maitland, mainly the ground-floor hallway. The shape of the room was different, much higher. I think you guys were there. I didn't see you, but it was just one of those dream-facts that you dream-know.

So Robert Cousins had turned evil and was unleashing hordes of disgusting monsters from a machine of sorts. I didn't want to, but I knew I had to stop him. Fortunately I had a container of folate capsules. I don't know what folate is, sounds like a polyatomic ion.

Anyway, I dumped a few tablets in his mouth (for some reason I dream-knew they hurt him as well. Also I called him out for turning into a dick) and on the monsters coming out of the machine. They started melting, with steam coming off like they were getting hot.

I can only presume the day was saved.

It's coming for me. It's going to find me.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Sun 16 Sep 2012, 9:17 pm

What the hell happened last night?

So in the world of this dream, Godzilla has had children with...vampires? I forget. But this ain't no comedy folks. Two of the children (were there more?) were trapped in a room. One looked (I think) pretty much just like a human, but the other one. Just...no. It was humanoid, but it had no skin, no eyes, just muscle and bones. I think it was hunched over, and had a tail.

It was let out, it screamed this bloodcurling scream, like a woman's. It sped out of the hallway lightning-fast and started chomping on people.

I have no idea where this dream came from. It looked like nothing I've ever seen before.

    From Wednesday night.
Me and people were in a big room in a tall building, when all of a sudden a guy comes in with a gun and takes us hostage. We weren't in bank, so I'm pretty sure he was just gonna flat-out kill us. He put the gun to my head, and I bawled and begged him to stop. Kinda a blow to my self-esteem, since I like to think that in that sort of scenario I'd at least try and subdue the gunman.

I've had a few other dreams, but I remember hardly anything.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Fri 26 Oct 2012, 11:30 am

Before I go on, I should give some context. In my design class right now, deadlines for our first project are approaching. It was mentionned that practice was important. The presentation has a narrow range; it should be between 6.5 and 7.5 minutes.

So last night I had a dream where Patrick King and I were giving an oral presentation on robotics. Except we hadn't practised at all, and we didn't know how we were gonna fill up my time.

All I remember from the other dream was that a basketball-sized mosquito was buzzing around in a cabin.

This dream takes place in a beautiful world.
However, this world is full of evil. Or at least, that's what we call it.

This world, we call it Sharkasia.

The night before last, I had a vivid dream. So I was in this couple's house. There were six crocodiles, but the couple tamed them by getting them to breed. The last pair was still in the process of being tamed and therefore a bit aggressive. Oh, and the house looked nice. I did not know the couple.

I walked outside (the front porch and driveway felt a lot like those at my first house in St. Marys). Suddenly a little talking critter (forget what exactly, but it seems that I knew about its presence already) ranted on about how Pokemon's TMs weren't copyrighted and how he'd rule the world with them.

I feel like the first one would have made a great story.

Post by Cephalo the Pod on Tue 13 Nov 2012, 3:45 pm

From the night before, I dreamt that I was back in D.C.V.I. and when I looked at certain students, it turns out they were actually ghosts. Looking at them made their heads all distorted-like. Nothing really happened.

Then, last night, I had a dream that I was playing music for a wedding in what I think was the D.C.V.I. band. The Notorious Tiggs was there. I remember huge instruments being there (like, larger than real-life) and being excited to play one.

Next dream (WARNING: INTENSE DEPICTIONS OF VIOLENCE. DEAD SERIOUS, THIS SHIT IS FUCKED UP). I was watching a movie in my Sparling Crescent rec room with some of my family (I forget who specifically). In the movie, a guy was killing everyone he knows. He was on to his old best friend. In the immediate scene, the guy was holding his old friend's cat, watching a recording of the friend's death. He then imitated the murder with the cat; he twisted its nick, completely destroying it. I looked away, but I still heard the cat's screams, and the splintering of the bones.

See this kind of shit is why I was scared to go to sleep as a kid.
